Cooking for Others During Difficult Times

Often we are asked how folks can help others who are surviving cancer.  Many times meals come to mind.  I have heard from survivors and their families that once they stop receiving support of this kind, they finally have an idea of what it is that would help the most.

I came across this lovely blog entry on this very topic on the blog “Simple Bites: Whole Food for the Whole Family”.  The blog is written by Aimee Wimbush-Bourque. Cooking has always been Aimee’s preferred recreational activity, creative outlet, and source of relaxation.  After nearly 10 years in the professional cooking industry, she went from restaurant to RSS by trading her tongs and clogs for cookie cutters and a laptop.  She serves as editor and contributor of the blog.

I could not have written this better myself, friends, so I include her suggestions here for all of you.  They are wise and right on target if you are trying to help those in times when they need it most.
